University of Michigan Dearborn Through the University of Michigan-Dearborn Special Education Program we offer:
  • Graduate College Credit
  • Undergraduate College Credit

Participants taking IMSE's course, Comprehensive Training in Orton-Gillingham (30 hours, off campus), may enroll in the University of Michigan-Dearborn course, Inclusion Using Multi-Sensory and Direct Instruction Strategies, for either 2 or 3 hours of graduate or undergraduate credit.

Participants must complete enrollment forms and pay University of Michigan-Dearborn tuition and fees on the first day of training. The tuition includes an $80.00, non-refundable registration fee. Students who wish to drop the course must drop no later than the end of the first day to receive full tuition reimbursement. If a student drops after the first day of class, the student is responsible for all tuition and fees. Upon the satisfactory completion our training, transcripts from the University of Michigan-Dearborn that include the credit hours and grades earned will be available 3 weeks after the semester ends, in accordance with the University calendar.

Please note:

  • Tuition and fees for college credit are set by the Regents of the University of Michigan. These fees are in addition to the fees charged by IMSE for our 30 hour Comprehensive Training in Orton-Gillingham. Call or e-mail us for current fees.
  • The credits earned for Inclusion Using Multi-Sensory and Direct Instruction Strategies may or may not apply toward the completion of program, degree, or certification requirements at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
