Alphabet Series Volume 1
A set of 18 illustrated storybooks for beginning readers, coordinated for use with Recipe for Reading.
The Alphabet Series Volume 2
This volume of 18 Storybooks continues in the Recipe for Reading sequence, picking up where Volume 1 left off. Volume 2 covers blends, long vowels, sounds for c and g, r controlled vowels, and -ed and -ing suffixes.
The Alphabet Series Volume 3
This third volume of 3 vocabulary-controlled selections by Frances Bloom and Deborah Coates enables students to apply their phonics skills in context. The three phonetically-controlled readers, which increase in difficulty as the lessons progress, help students review target words, sounds and sight words. The stories enable emergent and struggling readers to practice skills as they read motivating, engaging stories. The Volume 3 readers correspond to the final third of the lessons in the manual.
